I was 3 on November 1St 2003 Richard describes me as a tri coloured quadruped. Personally, I like Airedale. I’m pretty easy going with a great sense of humour and adventure, I do like practical jokes. I’m a sociable animal who likes to get out and about. I like the attention I seem to attract. I like to take care of my appearance, I visit the hairdressers every 8 weeks or so for a clip and a trim, or ask Linda to give me a quick trim around the edges and to get rid of any rare split ends, she does an Airedale proud! I keep fit with lots of walks and some home based work outs/punch ups/wrestling with Richard and Harry. Of course, I win every time although the blokes will never admit it, I outsmart and outthink them with comparative ease! I do enjoy taking life at a relaxing pace when I can. On the racier side of things I love to drive fast cars, chase jets and air balloons. When we lived in The Cotswolds my favourite shopping areas were Stow-on-the-Wold and Stratford-upon-Avon. As with all popular areas, it can be a little tricky getting a parking spot, especially in the height of the tourist season. You’ll have to be very lucky to get a space in Bridge Street in Stratford; people crawl up and down, up and down hoping to get a space. We normally find a spot, thanks to Richard, he has a wealth of local knowledge which comes in really handy for parking or if the streets are congested at rush hour, we duck and dive in and out of lots of side streets. Stratford offers a good selection of shops and places to eat. A visit to Jollye’s pet shop is a must; if you are very lucky you can find a cat asleep in the bedding section on the left as you enter the shop. There’s a great collection of shops on Ely street, there’s an Art Deco shop at the entrance to arcade of Antique shops, the guy who runs it is a very nice man with good taste. He has an Airedale! Our homeWe now live in Devon surrounded by very beautiful countryside, quaint towns and villages with white washed cottages with thatched roofs. The landscape is full of trees, soft rolling hills and river valleys and not forgetting we have the sea only 40 minutes drive away! We did visit Teignmouth but it wouldn’t stop raining so we didn’t stay very long! We are in the process of exploring lots of new places and are fortunate enough to live very close to Dartmoor and have already enjoyed an invigorating walks, meeting the Dartmoor ponies with their foals and some sheep. We enjoyed the spectacular views on Dartmoor, it’s has some of the highest land in England! We’d certainly recommend a trip to anyone thinking of visiting Devon! Horoscope I’m a Scorpio. My horoscope says I am a warm hearted individual, endowed with a sense of humour and fun with a natural ability to liven up any gatherings. I also have a stubborn streak and can be quite dominant – basically, I try to get away with lots of things but I’m frequently caught out! I’m also considered to be determined, goal orientated and very focussed. I’d say my biggest asset has to be my sense of fun and adventure! Mollywolly recommends food…. I have a healthy appetite and tend to eat most foods. I do get a trifle fed up of dog food, thankfully I only get dog food on rare occasions as I tend to find it can be rather boring and unappealing. Richard and Linda get the hint if I leave my bowl of doggy dins untouched! I do enjoy lots of other food, especially porridge, bananas, bacon, chicken, carrots, pasta and the occasional bite of Indian or Chinese food. I try to eat a healthy balanced diet as I wish to retain my youthful figure. I would certainly recommend at least 3 bowls of fresh water per day and the occasional tin of sardines in oil to keep one’s coat very glossy and soft! I don’t eat out often, I much prefer, during the cooler months to spend my nights in, upside down in front of a roaring fire, with a couple of ice cubes to chew on but in the summer you are more than likely to find me stretched out in the garden. I just love BBQ’s! Molly and Harry recommend SAAB….. Our favourite car has to be a SAAB. We have the luxury of enjoying both 900 and 9000 models. We like the 900 convertible, as you can see in some of our pictures, it’s great for posing, especially on a hot sunny day, and gives us a great vantage point to bark at other dogs or to demonstrate to fine art of howling. We can often be seen AeroDaling around the Devon countryside sitting on the back seat. We do adhere closely to canine road safety and wear a seat belt at all times. We have had many humorous experiences I remember one occasion before Harry arrived, in Stratford, we were sitting in the convertible, at the traffic lights on Greenhill Street when I noticed this bloke staring at me, smiling and saying I was ‘gorgeous’. He had a dog with him and was trying to point the dog’s head in my direction but the dog wouldn’t have it. Linda and Richard were laughing so much I just had to look away and pray the traffic lights would change quickly! Our other Saab is the 9000 turbo, it’s bigger and faster than the convertible, with tinted windows so I really can’t pose that much while driving around. I love to watch the occupants of other cars as we overtake them. We can see them but thanks to the tinted windows they can’t see us. It’s a shame really because we like to wave to other canines in their cars! We also had a Daimler for a while, it was big and comfortable but we found the leather upholstery was a little bit of challenge, as you couldn’t really get a good grip with it especially whizzing around corners. The Daimler, or Dave the Daimler as we affectionately named him, was a nice smooth, fast drive; he was very low to the ground so making it terribly easy to hop in and out. Ideal transport for a discerning Airedale I’d say! Leisure and hobbies I am genuinely interested in most things and have a keen open mind. I like to keep up to date with a little television news, current affairs, technology market and wildlife programmes. I also look out for my dear friend, the glamorous Jackie Kabler from GMTV. I relax and unwind with some Airedale yoga and the occasional drop of chilled cider and a Flute or two of Champagne. Top Toy Tesco Ball with black nylon cord handle attached (£3.99). Very tough so far we have been unable to pierce the ball; it’s great for a game of tug 0 war with Harry, Richard or Linda. Although one of my all time favourite games must be to stand at the top of the stairs, throw the ball down and I growl while I chase after it to the bottom. In our old house in the Cotswolds my Aire brakes would sometimes fail and I would hit my furry mush off the large wooden front door! 9 Woofs out of 10. |

I was 1 on October 7th 2003 Hi! My name is Harry (also known as ‘chunky pup’, ‘Jaffa Cake’ due to my Orange and dark choc colouring, ‘little puppy’ or ‘pups’), I was born on the 7th October 2002 and Molly has adopted me as her little brother. I joined her on 13th February 2003 she was very kind to me and made sure I felt welcome in my new home in the Cotswolds. Molly spent a considerable amount of time showing me around the big garden and telling me how much fun we’d have together! We moved to Devon where we have an even bigger garden to charge around in! Richard now says that "1 Airedale + 1 Airedale = 11 Airedales" My Big Sister, Molly Molly and I get on very well together and enjoy a good deal of wrestling, she is still beating me paws down despite the fact I am bigger and heavier than her! I used to think I’ll be a good match for her when I’m fully grown but it’s not looking as though I’ll ever be able to win – I’m really hoping I will grow so big I will be able to sit on her head! She has sat on my head numerous times. Although she has a wicked sense of humour she has a heart of gold and really does look after me very well and always comes to my side if I get frightened or I’m unsure of something. I am still growing and learning so much, Molly is a great teacher and I learn so much from her! She is very patient with me. I’m slowly getting to grips with email and some basic web design. I have to wait a few more years before I can learn to drive. Horoscope I’m a Libran, the same star sign as Richard, which means I’m diplomatic, romantic, charming, easy going, flirtatious, indecisive and gullible. I have yet to recognise all of these traits but Molly tells me I am easy going! Linda says I am an outrageous flirt with the ladies (just ask Karen and Kristina!). Like most blokes, I can be pretty charming and, if I want something really badly, I make sure I look cute and handsome so I can turn on the charm and get what I want. Amazingly, I think Linda has rumbled my technique so I have to come up with alternative method. I’m still trying! FoodI eat well, Molly used to sample my food for me but I had to put a stop to that as I’m a big, growing boy and need all my food. I LOVE my food and eat EVERYTHING. Like Molly, I drink a lot of water and believe it’s essential to a healthy Airedale body. Molly advocates Sardines once a week in sunflower oil; I love them now and I’d eat them everyday given the chance! I do like ice cubes straight from the freezer, Molly has shown me the best way to tackle them by noisily crunching them up. Generally we eat very well with lots of variety in our diet – chicken, Bonios, pasta, Bonios, fresh vegetables, Bonios, fruit, Bonios, porridge, Bonios, some occasional dog food, Bonios and dry biscuit…. errrrr, did I mention I like Bonios?? Socialising and ExerciseI enjoy getting out and about and meeting others, we’ve met lots of people, dogs, sheep, horses and the occasional cat. I have been going out walking with Molly, Linda and Richard who all say I walk really well on the lead ( …..sometimes). I like to get out and walk as often as I can but I have wait until I am older to do the big walks that Molly tackles. I have advanced considerably with my training, I sometimes come when called but Linda and Richard know how to get my attention – Doggie Choccie Drops or Bonios, they work a treat, I’ll do ANYTHING for them! In fact, if there’s food involved I’d do a triple back flip if I thought I’d get something to eat. I have taken part in some Airedale Acrobatics – I had to master the stair case in our old house in the Cotswolds, Linda and Richard were very kind with their encouragement and assistance but being a bloke I wanted to do it all myself with the minimum of fuss….and embarrassment! But…I did a handstand at the top of the stairs, I prayed Linda or Richard couldn’t see me but they did, they saw everything!…….. my cool image was shattered as both of them witnessed me doing a handstand with my back legs up in the air! I pretended I knew what I was doing and slowly lowered my hind legs to the floor and slowly descended the stairs! Motivations I like to travel in the car. Of course, my preferred mode of transport is a SAAB. I am very proud to announce I can jump into the back of the 9000 with so much ease and grace you’d think I had springs in my paws! My keen Terrier spirit has enabled my to reach my goals! I am very goal orientated and competitive, I have a couple of ambitions I’d like to share with you – I’d love to be able to catch up with Molly as she runs, gazelle like, around our big garden. I would also like to learn how to operate door handles; I have one specific one in mind – our larder door handle. My long to medium terms goals would be to tackle the fridge – it’s rather more complex than I originally thought as I will have to move a chair to stand on to enable me to be at the appropriate height to open the fridge door. My ultimate goal is still, hopefully not in the too distant future, in getting onto Richard and Linda’s bed! I have been practising when they go out but Molly puts me off sometimes. If she tells Linda and Richard I shall tell them she makes herself very comfortable on the sofa and surfs all the Satellite Channels! I am a great howler, we all howl together (Molly, Linda and Richard as well) and it makes us all feel like a complete family – I really love howling and will happily demonstrate my natural ability, so please just ask me! Favourite teeth exercise I have discovered a great game, when I lie down on my side and pretend to be asleep I can bite the ankles of anyone who walks past. It’s so easy to lull people/Molly into a false sense of security by pretending you are peacefully asleep! Unusual habits! I like to bark at my own reflection in the mirror - I think Linda, Richard and Molly find it all a little tedious but I’m convinced there’s another Airedale looking at me! I just love playing a great game of hide and seek with Richard’s slippers; I don’t think he understands the rules of the game yet?? Girlfriends I don’t have a girlfriend at the moment but I do fancy cuddling up with Jackie Kabler (she’s the glamour TV star from GMTV!) Sadly, she married but if she were to find herself, young, free and single again, I’m the Airedale for her! So please keep coming back to visit our website as we update and add more stories and photos on a very regular basis.
