Hello
everyone, my name is Dylan, I also love to be
called Dylan Dale, Digi Dale, DDale, D type
Dale, Mr DDale, Dylan Dawg, Poochie, Airedale Scarf, Big Puppy and Dale
Woofton of Cuddleshire!
I love my life with Molly, Harry, Linda
and Richard! Everyone adopted me on the 23 January 2004, Harry is my younger
brother and Molly is my big sister! They were
all very kind to me, showing me around
my new home and the big garden, within days of
arriving I took part in the highly
eventful sport of Squirrel chasing! It is great fun, these little tree
rats come into our garden to steal the bird food so we get to chase them out! Immediately,
I felt at home.
Molly and Harry have
very generously shared all their toys with me, I didn't have any toys, bed or
blanket with me when I arrived...sniff! sniff! It
was so sad. We have a big basket of toys where we can dip in and help
ourselves anytime we want to as many as we want! It is such fun to play with
Molly and Harry although I do respect Molly's senior position above us all,
she is The Queen of Planet Airedale. I
do like to grab her tail when she's not looking, it always guarantees she will
chase me and chomp me.
Now
we live in Scotland, I
was born in Somerset and my breeder found me a new home with Planet Airedale and
she very kindly gave me a lift
in her car to my new home with
Linda, Richard, Molly and Harry! Thank
you to Ruth Millar for making my life complete, I am very, very grateful!
Horoscope
I am a Gemini and a
fairy typical one at that! A typical Gemini can be described as eloquent
(of course), communicative, witty, versatile, youthful, lively,
inquisitive sometimes (always!!), a
little tense, nervous and superficial! I do love to get out and about, I'll
happily chat with anyone who will listen to me, I'm certainly lively - I do love
to spring around and can jump high fences and
boing of all fours in a flash, Molly and Harry have been most impressed
by my jumping abilities, it is a shame they
can't jump as well as me but it means I can get into the Range Rover
first. I'm a sociable bloke and can hold my own in any level of
conversation! My geography is pretty good, I came from Wiltshire, lived
in Devon (Planet Airedale used to be in
Devon), North Wales, Cumbria and now Scotland. I
was born in Somerset and my breeder found me a new home with Planet Airedale and
she very kindly gave me a lift
in her car to my new home with
Linda, Richard, Molly and Harry! Thank
you to Ruth Millar for making my life complete, I am very, very grateful!
Food
I love all food, there
isn't anything I don't like. When I first came
to live here I had to do a
rethink on my eating habits because I saw
food I want to eat it...ALL! I was
caught out a number of times in our kitchen when Linda and Richard left a
cooked chicken out to cool, I came along and chomped as much as I could before I
was caught. Boy, did I get told off! My Big sister was not happy with me but I
am happy to report I have changed my ways!
If there is food lying out on the kitchen counter, like Molly and Harry, I don't
touch it. I love my new diet and lots of treats. There really isn't any
food I'm not keen on, everyone else turns their
nose up at prawns but not me, I love them. Oh,
I have just remembered something I am not keen on, Oranges! They have a horrible
taste. Molly taught me a great trick, if the humans
give us a boring Bonio when we know there are pigs ears in the cupboard we take
the Bonio in our mouths and then drop it onto the floor and look
at them as if they have fed us poison.
We keep trying this method but it never seems to work with Linda and Richard,
such is our hard life, sigh.
Leisure and Hobbies
I love getting
out in the countryside for walking. It is such fun to run around with Molly and
Harry, we have such a laugh. I do enjoy garden landscaping and interior design.
I love attention to detail and the correct placement of a soggy, smelly chew in
the centre of L & R's bed. Molly, Harry and I also enjoy a game of soggy chew
volleyball.....you keep throwing an old chew around until you gain points for
getting it to land on window ledges, tables,
beds and other items of furniture around the house. You can win MEGA bonus
points if you hit a human with the chew or break something. Molly is still the
leader with this game although I am focussed on practising everyday to perfect
my technique! I love to chase the pheasants who dare
to come into our garden, they need to know it is OUR garden
and not theirs.....Grrrrr! Since our move to Scotland
I have gained a keen interest in hill climbing
and loch swimming.
Oh, almost forgot I bark at the Owls and the Buzzards too.
