Molly
1st November 2000 - 8th February 2012
Richard
describes me as a tri coloured quadruped. Personally, I like Airedale. I answer
to Molly, Mollywolly, Woolly Bonce, The Mozza,
Molly woo, Mozz, Mozzi Moo and some other unprintable names **%$£**. I’m
pretty easy going with a great sense of humour and adventure, and I do like
practical jokes. I’m a sociable gal who likes to get out and about and I like
the attention I seem to attract. I like to take care of my appearance, I ask
Linda to give me a quick trim around the edges and to get rid of any rare split
ends, she does an Airedale proud! I keep fit with lots of walks,
some hill climbing and some home based work outs/punch ups/wrestling with
Richard, Harry and Dylan. Of course, I win every time although the blokes will
never admit it, I outsmart and outthink them with comparative ease! I do
enjoy taking life at a relaxing pace when I can. On the racier side of things I
love to drive fast cars, chase jets and air balloons. My dalefriend is Justice,
he is 10 years old and lives in Harvey's Lake, USA, we've been together for more
than 8 years now. He is a hunk!
My home is in Scotland with
Richard and Linda, Harry and Dylan. We
love our location and we have a lovely big garden to run around in. We
have sooo many walks around here, it never gets boring and we absolutely love
all the exercise, getting out in the fresh air and soaking up the beautiful
scenery. The edge of The Highlands is such a fabulous place to live in, mountains
everywhere, hills, hills, and more hills and thankfully not covered in loads of
those bloody stupid sheep!
Horoscope
I’m a Scorpio. My
horoscope says I am a warm hearted individual
(of course, I'm an Airedale!), endowed with a sense of humour
(of course, I'm an Airedale!) and fun with a natural ability to liven up
any gatherings (need I say more, I'm an
Airedale!). I also have a stubborn streak (Nooooooo,
never, Moi???) and can be quite dominant (AKA Miss Bossy Drawers according to Harry & Dylan!) – basically, I try to
get away with lots of things but I’m frequently caught out! I’m also considered
to be determined (I'm an Airedale!),
goal orientated and very focussed. I’d say my biggest asset has to be my sense
of fun and adventure! I love a good laugh and
never miss out on an opportunity. I get a real giggle if I creep up on Richard
and give him a big nose poke, it's a great way to wake him up in the mornings!
Food
I have a healthy
appetite and tend to eat most foods. I don't do dog
tinned food, thankfully I'm never
insulted and offered this rubbish. I am
grateful Richard and Linda understand
this and don't force it on me! My staple
diet is a top quality dried biscuit mixed up with some other tasty food.
I do enjoy lots of varieties of food,
especially porridge, bananas, bacon, chicken, carrots, pasta,
sausages, rice, Broccoli, Sardines, mince, cheese
(We always get called CheeseDale Terriers when the cheese comes out), pork,
steak, lamb, crisps (bad but good) and the occasional bite of Indian or
Chinese food (hmm.....Chicken Madras, Pilau
rice and a chomp of Nan Bread).
I try to eat a healthy balanced diet as I wish to retain my youthful figure. I
would certainly recommend at least 3 bowls of fresh water per day and the weekly
tin of sardines in oil to keep one’s coat very glossy and soft! I don’t eat out
often, I much prefer, during the cooler months to spend my nights in, upside
down in front of a roaring fire, with a couple of ice cubes to chew on but in
the summer you are more than likely to find me stretched out in the garden
enjoying the sunshine with a good book. I just love BBQ’s and parties! Meeting
people is always a interesting and sometimes a very rewarding experience, I am
certainly not one to shrink away from social situations. I suppose you
can call me a social Butterfly!
Favourite transport
Our favourite transport our Range Rover V8. We used to have more Land Rovers, we had an old
1958 and a 1963 Series IIa . We used to have SAABS and other Range Rovers. One
SAAB we had was a red convertible, as you can see in some of our pictures, it
was great for posing, especially on a hot sunny day, and gives us a great
vantage point to bark at other dogs or to demonstrate our fine art of howling.
In 2006 we bought another one but sold it again as it really wasn't big enough
for all of us but it was great for getting the wind in your Aire! I
like to make sure I get the best seat in the Range Rover. When we were in the
SAAB convertible we did adhere closely to canine road safety and wore a seat
belt at all times.
We have had many humorous experiences - I remember one
occasion BHADA (before Harry and Dylan arrived), in Stratford, Linda, Richard
and me were sitting in the convertible, at the traffic lights on Greenhill
Street when I noticed this bloke staring at me, smiling and saying I was
‘gorgeous’, that bloke had good taste! He had a dog with him and was trying to
point the dog’s head in my direction but the dog wouldn’t have it. Linda and
Richard were laughing so much I just had to look away and pray the traffic
lights would change quickly! We often get pointed at when we are out and about (
well, I think people are pointing at us, there again, they could be pointing at
Linda & Richard!) and sometimes wave to other cars travelling behind us, it can
be such fun!
We also had a Daimler for a while, it was big and comfortable. The Daimler, or
Dave the Daimler as we affectionately named him, was a nice smooth, fast drive;
he was very low to the ground so making it terribly easy to hop in and out.
Ideal transport for a discerning Airedale I’d say! But really, if you want the
idea Airedale Transport, buy a Range Rover! It's a Perfect Airedale
Carriage!
Leisure and hobbies
I am genuinely interested in
most things and have a keen, inquisitive, open
mind. I enjoy hill walking, the outdoors,
garden design, dentistry, home interiors, Yoga,
wrestling, squirrel & pheasant capture
and kitchen studies. I have recently acquired my
Masters degree for the fine art of pheasant chasing,
highly rewarding and very worthwhile. I like to keep up to date
with a little television news, current affairs, technology market and wildlife
programmes. I do like to recline in the evening
in front of a lovely roaring fire and listen to some soothing music I
also look out for my dear friend, the glamorous Jackie Kabler who used to be
on GMTV. I relax and unwind with some Airedale yoga, the occasional drop of
chilled cider, glass of Chateauneuf du Pape and a flute or two of Champagne,
a lovely accompaniment for the cheese board for
us CheeseDale Terriers!
Career
I am employed full time by
Planet Airedale. Although I am the Queen of
Planet Airedale I don't let it go to my furry bonce. I
do like to work and keep myself very busy. I
model our latest clothing lines and advise on marketing strategies to ensure
Planet Airedale goes from strength to strength in it's quest for worldwide
recognition. I also spend a lot of my time
promoting Planet Airedale, it's only fair all the Airedales get to know all
about us, Planet Airedale is thee place to be seen, you know! I'm not sure if
this should be in the career section or not but I have always wanted to write a
book, I've had the idea for years and a rough idea of the plot but all I need
now is the time to sit down and write. I've heard and met lots of bitch stories,
maybe I could incorporate them into my book. I could tell a few tales, that's
for sure!
Top Toy
Tesco Ball with black
nylon cord handle attached (£3.99). Very tough so far we have been unable to
pierce the ball; it’s great for a game of tug 'o' war with Harry, Dylan, Richard
or Linda. Although one of my all time favourite games must be to stand at the
top of the stairs, throw the ball down and I growl while I chase after it to the
bottom. In our old house in the Cotswolds my Airebrakes would sometimes fail
and I would hit my furry mush off the large wooden front door! It is fair to
say, all our toys have a tough time as they have to withstand pretty rough play
from Harry, Dylan and I! 9 Woofs out of 10.This
old favourite is still going strong although I have to dig deep into the Toy
basket to find it. I did have a big furry gorilla to chomp on for a while but he
had to go the Furry toy golden gates as he couldn't stand the pace and fell to
pieces. A good old traditional Tennis ball is
always good fun and you can amuse yourself for many hours with it and you can
enrol some human help in if you happen to roll it under the bed. Get the human
on their hands and knees looking for your ball and go in for the kill, a huge
nose poke in the face is always a great Airedale and Human bonding moment, LOL!
